Introduction
To advance the core principles of synthetic biology—"Understanding through Creation, Applying through Design"—and further ignite the innovative spirit of young students, the 3rd Synthetic Biology Innovation Competition, organized by the Synthetic Biology Branch of the Chinese Society of Biotechnology and co-organized by the Shenzhen Institute of Synthetic Biology (Chinese Academy of Sciences), the School of Synthetic Biology at Shenzhen University of Advanced Technology, the Shenzhen Innovation Institute of Synthetic Biology, the Shenzhen Synthetic Biology Association, and the Shenzhen Engineering Biology Industrial Innovation Center, was successfully held in Shenzhen. Participating teams showcased diverse research directions and unique innovative ideas, highlighting the powerful momentum of interdisciplinary collaboration and injecting fresh vitality into the future development of synthetic biology.
To carry forward this innovative spirit and further propel research and development in synthetic biology, Synthetic Biology journal hereby launches the "Synthetic Biology Innovation Competition" Special Issue, providing a platform for exchange and display. We warmly welcome submissions from all teams that participated in this competition!
Submission Requirements
Manuscripts must include Chinese and English abstracts, an English graphical abstract, and bilingual (Chinese/English) figure/table captions.
Invited Reviews: Should provide systematic, forward-looking, and visionary perspectives.
Research Articles: Must present complete and innovative findings (comparable to journals with Impact Factor ≥5).
Perspectives/Commentaries: Should critically evaluate groundbreaking research published within the past year and propose novel insights.
