整体来看（图3），全球合成生物学领域论文呈现稳步上升趋势，发展前景广阔。该领域的主要发文国家包括美国、中国、印度、德国和日本。中国发展最为迅速，自2008年开始呈快速增长态势，并于2018年超越美国成为全球发文量最多的国家，目前处于全球领先地位。美国作为该领域的先行者，早期发文量优势明显，保持长期稳定发展，但近年来增速放缓，呈平稳趋势。印度在2015年后开始加速发展，增长势头强劲，并在2023年超越美国，成为仅次于中国的全球第二大发文国。德国、日本和英国则保持相对平稳增长的态势。
